His Room

10/7/2019 we finally got around to painting Spencer's room. Only, we are not painting it to be Spencer's. We are painting it to be his little brothers.

While I am excited to invite a new child home, it feels like I am giving up on Spencer being in the house.

Don't get me wrong, I know he will never live here, outside of the memories and the trees. It's not like he ever lived in that room, but we never got around to getting it ready for him. We knew we would have time once he came home, and then...we didn't.

So- this time we want it done. No questions that it is for a new baby to come home too. But, that still means letting go of it as Spencers room.

I'm still working on calling it anything other than Spencer's room...I think once we have a name for this babe, it will help.

Who knew a coat of paint could be so damn hard.

Spencer, I promise, we are not leaving you behind or forgetting you. We are growing the family in a way we think you would have supported, and bringing more people into the family who will get to play in Spencer's tree and know all about you.
