Celebrate

Yesterday, we celebrated Spencer's birthday by living life with Kenzie.

Swim class, book sale at the library, a bath in purple water...we also visited the store for what we needed to hang Spencers quilt, and made birthday brownies for brother.

Which is fitting since I always wanted chocolate when I was pregnant with him.

Plus lots of stories and snuggles through the day.

Kenzie even napped in her glider instead of bed. A somewhat regular thing I like to think she somehow was influenced by her brother to do.

After all, Spencer's favorite place was snuggling on whoever was sitting in the hospital glider, and sleeping. For hours.

At bedtime we read the Spencer name book.

After kenzie went to bed, we got Mexican food (something we got a lot of while in the hospital) and we put part of the rocket decal up in peanuts room. Continuing our promise to Spencer to have this room ready before little brother arrived.

I hope, my sweet Spencer, that by living a full day, you feel loved and celebrated. Happy Birthday baby boy.
