Spicy

Mexican food has always been one of my favorites.

When I was pregnant with Kenzie, I loved salty, cheesy food- homemade Nachos were a staple.

When I was pregnant with Spencer, chocolate was the name of the game, which is funny because I am not a sweets person.

The other thing that happened with Spencer is that my spicy tolerance plummeted. I used to easily be a medium salsa girl. When I was pregnant, even mild felt like fire hot.

Well- I guess Spencer wanted to leave a reminder of that time, because my spice tolerance has stayed far lower than it ever was. Mild is my new max, I use salsa sparingly and always heat test before diving into anything.

I laugh now when my taste buds tell me something is hot, when I know it isn't. Just a reminder that Spencer was not a spicy kid and maybe I should have some chocolate.

Peanut-this current babe is all about the carbs. Give me bread, pasta, bread, more bread and he is happy.

We'll see if that stays with me when he gets here and no longer has any say over my food choices.

Crazy what kids can do before they even get here, and the long lasting impact little things like salsa levels can have on us. I kinda love that when I taste spicy it reminds me of being pregnant with Spencer and his very obvious lack of spice tolerance. I can just picture a little Spencer telling me 'Spencer no spicy'...
